The Business DNA Audit: know your rules before AI acts on them
Every Archisus engagement starts with one question: what are the rules your business cannot break? In two weeks we map them, find where they contradict each other or are not enforced, and give you a working draft ontology and a ranked pilot roadmap.
Why start here
Your rules exist. They are just not machine-enforceable.
Regulatory requirements, approval chains, procurement thresholds, safety conditions and contract obligations are spread across policy documents, ERP settings, procedures and the experience of senior staff. AI that reads them as text cannot enforce them as logic.
Rules in documents
Policies and procedures written for people. When a document is out of date or an edge case comes up, a generic AI still produces a plausible answer.
Rules that contradict
Over the years a policy says one thing, a procedure another, and the ERP enforces neither. The contradictions stay invisible until the rules are formalised.
Rules in people
Much of how the business really works lives with experienced staff. When they leave, that knowledge leaves with them.
What you get
Three deliverables in two weeks
A fixed scope and a fixed timeline. The audit ends with concrete artefacts and a clear decision, not a recommendation for more study.
Knowledge Architecture Map
Every logic dependency, data relationship and constraint in the processes in scope, visualised and documented.
Gap & Risk Report
Contradictions, broken data links and governance gaps, prioritised by their business impact.
Draft Ontology & Pilot Roadmap
A working ontology for your highest-priority domain, plus a ranked shortlist of pilot use cases with estimated ROI and a delivery timeline.
From a real engagement
What formalising the rules reveals
One compliance audit
47 logic gaps that nobody had seen: approval conditions that contradicted each other, approval chains that looped back on themselves, and compliance rules that were officially in force but never checked.
After the audit
Each stage earns the next
You decide after every stage. If the pilot case is not compelling, you stop with a clear picture of your rules and your data.
2 weeks
Business DNA Audit
Your rules mapped, the gaps reported, a draft ontology and a pilot roadmap.
4–6 weeks
Focused pilot
One Digital Expert on one high-impact process, running on your live data under the ontology, with an audit trail from day one and a before/after measure on the target KPI.
Ongoing
Enterprise expansion
More domains and more Digital Experts, each inheriting the same rules, so adding capability does not add new governance risk.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
How long does the DNA Audit take?
Two weeks, with a fixed scope agreed at the start.
Is there a commitment after the audit?
No. The audit stands on its own. Its roadmap tells you whether a pilot is worth doing; if it is not, you stop there.
Do we need clean data before we start?
No. Data is only clean relative to the rules it must meet, and the audit is what defines those rules. Clients often find that their "data quality problem" is several separate problems of different urgency, and that some data they assumed was unusable is fine for the first pilot.
Will our data leave our environment?
The audit works with your policies, procedures and the people who run the process. Later stages query your systems in place through the federated layer, without copying operational data out of your perimeter.
We tried AI before and it did not work. Why would this be different?
The most common cause is a capable model working without a formal definition of what "correct" means for the process. The audit builds that definition, and the pilot then runs against rules that are explicit, enforced and traceable.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the scope. Tell us about the process you have in mind and we will come back with a fixed proposal.
The DNA Audit Is Your First Step. And Your Lowest Risk.
In two weeks we map every critical reasoning dependency, broken data link, and governance gap in your current AI or data workflow. You leave with a draft ontology model, a prioritised use case roadmap, and a clear decision on whether - and how - to proceed. No commitment beyond the audit.
Knowledge architecture map
Every logic dependency, data relationship, and constraint your AI needs to reason correctly - visualised and documented.
Gap & risk report
Broken data links, contradictory rules, and governance gaps that are invisible today - surfaced and prioritised by business impact.
Draft ontology & pilot roadmap
A working ontology model for your highest-priority domain, plus a ranked shortlist of pilot use cases with estimated ROI and delivery timeline.
